Laurie from Hippie Dayz Brew - 2024 Diamond Donor Highlight
Laurie and Corey from The Hippie Dayz Brew have been day one supporters of the Freedom Fest! The coordinators met Laurie in Downtown Albuquerque while promoting the inaugural Freedom Fest and her positive, upfliting, loving energy has always been a pleasure to have around! Not to mention her stellar, sustainably made coffee and custom drinks she crafts for every event!
Since we met Laurie and Corey we've all grown closers which just means that our passion for seeing The Hippie Dayz Brew suceed is deeply rooted in everything we do. For the 3rd Annual Freedom Fest, The Hippie Dayz Brew took their support a level further and became Diamon Donors with a $10,000 donation to the Mujeres Valley Campground & Fairground as well as the Freedom Festival!
We put together this interview with Laurie to help yall get to know her and begin to fall in love with her and her company the same way we did!
- What do you love about running your own business?
What I love the most about being an entrepreneur would be the flexibility of being with my family and making my own schedule. My life is very busy crazy, hectic and I never no what's going to happen so being my own boss is so nice. I have a disabled partner so my life is full of surprises. - Being Chicana and being mistaken for white, how do you navigate those waters?
Haha great question well I just navigate as I go it is so funny because I don't speak Spanish folks always consider me a otherwise.
- What's your favorite drink that you offer?
Coffee all day everyday LOL
- What's your favorite part of the creation process?
Creating fun names for the drinks and then creating a flavor to match the name. My favorite part. I have so much fun looking up ideas and tasting flavors to create new drinks.
- What are your long-term/ future goals for The Hippie Dayz Brew?
Traveling with my business to more events like ganja. Getting my merchandise and expanding my website.
- What do you love the most about camping and nature?
Camping is the best way to get out into nature and reconnect with mother Earth. All of my worries fall away all the noises in my head stop and I just breathe in the clean crisp air and enjoy my family and my time away from the City. We absolutely love being with amazing people great music and just food energy.
